Delegation of the Islamic resistance movement, Hamas, reached Saturday Moscow headed by member of its political bureau Mussa Abu Marzouk.
Speaking to Quds Press, Spokesman for the Movement Hazem Qassem affirmed that the delegation reached Moscow to participate in the Palestinian reconciliation talks.
The Russian Research Center has earlier revealed its intention to organize a meeting of Palestine’s major factions Fatah and Hamas seeking to restore unity among the Palestinians.
The delegation is scheduled to meet with the Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.
Qassem renewed his group’s keenness to meet any similar invitation aims at restoring Palestinian national unity.
A split between Palestine’s two major forces, Fatah and Hamas, occurred after the parliamentary elections in Palestine in 2006 when Hamas won.
