Local sources told the Palestinian Information Center (PIC) that the violence broke out at the entrance to the camp and then spread to other neighborhoods.
According to the sources, local young men blocked roads with burning tires to obstruct the entry of the security forces into the camp and then embarked on hurling stones at them.
Consequently, the PA security men responded by intensively firing tear gas at the youths and nearby homes.
The intensity of tear gas fumes led many young protestors as well families and children inside homes to suffer greatly from breathing difficulty, eye pain and other side effects.
Gunshots were also heard during the security campaign in the camp. Recently, the PA security forces raided West Bank refugee camps several times in order to capture what they call unruly elements; however, their campaigns turned into violent clashes with local residents.
