Egypt-Opens-Rafah-Crossing-for-Six-Days The crossing will open from Saturday to Sunday then shut down on Monday and Tuesday, according to the Cairo-based Yawm Alsabe Newspaper. It will open again from Wednesday to Sunday but will shut down on Monday of next week.

The crossing will open to allow a delegation from Gaza to attend a conference organized by Al-Ahram Center for Studies in Cairo. Palestinian students, patients and holders of foreign passports will be allowed to cross as well.

Some 27,000 Palestinians are registered to travel through the Rafah Crossing, most of them are in desperate need to do so. Egypt opens the Rafah crossing for a few of days every few months months, allowing hundreds of Palestinians to get out of the Gaza Strip.
