The statement came after a non-official Tunisian delegation visited Occupied Jerusalem and Palestine at the invitation of PA chairman Mahmoud Abbas.
The statement considered the visit as normalization with Israel especially that visiting occupied Jerusalem could only be under Israeli coordination. Such a visit would provide a legitimacy to the Israeli occupation of Jerusalem, the statement said.

“Visiting our (Palestinian) brothers in Occupied Jerusalem and supporting their steadfastness could never justify normalization with Israel,” according to the statement.
