Israeli forces reportedly detained Wassim al-Jamal, Wajdi al-Karaki, Nimr Asafra and Shihab Abu Ihleil from the southern West Bank’s Hebron city.
In the town of Beit Ummar in the Hebron district, Palestinian activist Muhammad Awwad said that Israeli forces raided his and several other homes in the town.
Israeli forces reportedly delivered summons to Muhammad Hasan Jaafar Aadi and Anan Abed al-Hamid Ikhleil of Beit Ummar to meet with the Israeli intelligence.
Awwad told Ma’an that Israeli forces were deployed at the northern entrance of the town, stopping and interrogating locals that were passing through.
Awad pointed out that soldiers stopped pedestrians and vehicles, and “forced them into the Israeli military tower in the area, and interrogated them regarding the coming local elections, candidates and the role of families in elections.”
According to locals in the northern district of Nablus, Israeli forces detained Haitham Bashar Qadus, former prisoner Omar al-Hanbali, whose brother Muhammad was killed by Israeli forces in 2003, and another former prisoner Abed al-Hakim al-Qadah from the area.
In the central district of Ramallah, Israeli forces reportedly detained Youssef Mazen Shihada from the Qalandiya refugee camp.
From the village of Abu Dis in occupied East Jerusalem, Israeli forces detained Muhammad Affaneh.
Two former prisoners were detained from Jenin and were identified as Hasan Mustafa Jaradat and Muhammad Suqiyeh.
An Israeli army spokesperson confirmed a total of 13 detentions, mentioning two in Hebron city, one in the Hebron area village of Surif, one in Abu Dis, one in Qalandiya, one in Qalqilya, two in the Nablus area village of Burin, one in the Nablus city area of Rafidiya, one in the Nablus city area Jabal al-Shamali, one in the Jenin area village of Qabatiya, one in the Jenin area village of Silat Al-Harithiya, and one in Jenin city.
Israeli border police also reportedly detained two Palestinians for allegedly attempting to smuggle fireworks from the West Bank to Israel through the Hizma checkpoint in northeastern Jerusalem on Tuesday.
Israeli media reported that Israeli forces found twenty boxes of fireworks in the trunk of the two Palestinian vehicles.
An Israeli police spokesperson was not immediately available for comment
