Palestinian prisoner in Israeli jails Ayad Alharimi, who has been on an open-ended hunger strike for 42 days to protest his administrative detention without charge or a trial, has lost the ability to speak.

Alharimi has been writing on a notebook to communicate with his jailors and visitors at Asav Haroveh hospital.

Mohjat Al-Quds association has received a letter from Alharimi confirming that he lost the ability to speak. Alharimi stressed in the letter that he still refuses to do medical examinations and that he will continue his hunger strike until he gains his freedom.
